Sharon Orchids was founded in 1995 and has been in business ever since. The founders, Tami Sharon and Yitzchak Ben Yair, have been growing orchids for over 30 years, germinating seeds and developing new varieties and colors. We are the instructors of the annual orchid course of the Jerusalem University Botanical Garden
In our greenhouse, we house over 2000 orchids of different species, including rare orchids and interesting crossbreeds. The plants are potted in a special orchid substrate or assembled on tree bark as they appear in nature.
Most of the orchids on display can be grown at home and by enthusiasts. The nursery provides individual explanations for each species and types to new growers and experts both. The nursery is open every day of the week in the morning until 17:00 - for customers, visitors or orchid enthusiasts.
